OK, I remember when I used to love the snow….. long snow closings etc. These days, not so much. It has taken me over an hour to go 15 miles, and 13 minutes to go the last mile….. and the latest snow storm hasn’t even hit yet. The Alexandria store will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Call for availability on Thursday.
In response, we are putting all in stock items on sale for the rest of February. Order online and we’ll get everything shipped out, as soon as we can get back into the the store.

Hey all,
With the newest “blizzard” coming, our Alexandria store will be closing at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 5th. Saturday the 6th we will be closed as well…. with up to 2 feet of snow on the ground.
We are planning on opening on Sunday the 7th. But keep an eye out here for more details and possible changes.

AANNNNNDDD we have an event to vend at over the Halloween weekend, Black Rose, in DC.
As such, the hours at the Manassas store are going to be modified slightly for the last week of October:
Monday – Friday, Oct 26 – 30: 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday, Oct 31: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday, Nov 1: closed
Monday, Nov 2: closed
Tuesday, Nov 3: open at 11 a.m. at our new location!!!

Big news everyone. The Kilted Nation has just signed a lease and will be moving the store to Alexandria, Virginia!!!! This is a HUGE move and brings us into the heart of Old Town Alexandria.
As of November we will be located at 115 S. Union St., Alexandria, Virginia, 22314.
Alexandria is known a center for Scottish and Irish events in the Washington DC area. This new location is a half block off of King St., on S. Union St. This is just one block away from the Potomac River and a short walk or trolley ride from the King St. Metro stop.
We’ll be making this move during the first week of November. Watch www.kiltednation.com for a specific date as we get closer. We are trying to make the move with as little down time as possible.
To accompany this, we are having a moving sale during the month of October. All purchases, of in-stock items, during the month of October will be 10% off (not applicable to special orders and cannot be combined with other sales). This applies to in-store and online purchases.
Come in and help us celebrate by saving on that next kilt purchase (BTW – we just got a handful of new Utilikilt Survivals, get em while they’re hot)!!!!!!!!

We just got in a new shipment from GM Belts and Glen Esk, in Scotland. I’ve gotten them all online, check them out in the Kilt Accessories section of the shop.
Among the new items are:
- 2″ utility kilt belt with a double prong roller buckle
- 2.5″ utility kilt belt, this fills the belt loops on the Utilikilts completely
- brown 2″ utility kilt belts, same style as the black belts we’ve had
Also…new lowever pricing on all our belts and waist plates:
- Utility kilts belts starting at $40
- Traditional kilt belts starting at $45
- Waist Plates starting at $45
We’ve also started to carry sterling silver kilt pins from Wallis Hunters Kilt Pin Company. These are not online yet, so give a call or come by the store. They average around $100 each.
